my /etc/X11/xorg.conf looks like this
iqbala at ghar-iqbala:~$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
EndSection
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Configured Monitor"
EndSection
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Default Screen"
Monitor "Configured Monitor"
Device "Configured Video Device"
EndSection
When I run synclient -m 100 and tap the touchpad with two fingers I get this, so laptop does recognize
the tap, but seems not know what to do with it, because it does not paste the data.

15.827 1 5855 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 00000000 0 0 0 0 0
That is the result of two taps. Each tap generates two rows of outputs
