[Bug 450872] [NEW] Just a little confusion configuring gdm, kdm, xdm for testing purposes

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xdm

I believe this issue was caused because the xdm was installed & in use,
i then removed & reinstalled kdm to be able to select default display
manager & set this back to gdm while removing xdm.

This may have caused the fault.

I'm a new user so i dont know the technical details.
