I have the same problem with Kubuntu 9.04 w/ KDE 4.3.2  using 2 eSATA
1TB Acomdata Puredrives connected to an Addonics ADS3GX4R5-E 4-port
eSATA II RAID5/JBOD PCI-X controller. Why the heck is this basic
functionality broken? ( other distros, such as Knoppix, have no problems
)

Also, why isn't the activated array detected by the device notifier in
KDE 4.3.2? -- On my machine it has to be manually mounted. ( after
having to manually issue dmraid -ay )
