Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pspp
Using a fully updated version of Kubuntu, PSPP appears in the menu in
two different locations. (Technically, the menu entry is for psppire,
the GUI for PSPP.)
Applications -> Education -> Science
Applications -> Education -> Mathematics
I suppose either option is OK, but it should not appear under both.
The .desktop file, /usr/share/applications/pspp.desktop, looks like
this.
[Desktop Entry]
Name=GNU PSPP
GenericName=Statistical Software
GenericName[de]=Statistiksoftware
Comment=Analyze statistical data with a free alternative to SPSS
Comment[de]= Statistische Daten mit einer freien Alternative zu SPSS analysieren
Exec=psppire %F
TryExec=psppire
Icon=pspp.png
StartupNotify=false
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Categories=GTK;Education;Science;Math;
I would suggest eliminating either Science or Math. I'm not sure what other programs could be in these respective locations since I don't have any on my computer in either sub-menu. For grins and giggles, I have removed Science and uploaded a "patch".
