The problems are perduring in the version 5.17.1 of maxima with the GUI wxMaxima 0.8.2
The results are:

Running tests in rtestnset:

This differed from the expected result:

Restart Maxima with 'Maxima->Restart Maxima'.

They was checked with and without maxima-test package installed in
Ubuntu Karmic
