Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: smc

Hi,

My main display is running at 1280x1024. SMC starts up fine and works,
but when it exits, the display is set to 1024x768 and I cannot change it
using the System->Preferences->Display dialog. In fact, I can't
increase or decrease the screen size at all. The system is still
usable, but it's annoying to have your display messed up like this.

Thanks,
John
