Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When I try to install a firefox addon in Ubuntu 9.04 lately most of time
it won't install also my addons listing under tools menu in firefox no
longer works. I also have Linux Mint 7 which is based on Ubuntu 9.04 on
my desktop computer and it doesn't have this problem. I also have other
Firefox 3.5.3 browsers (Icecat, Swiftfox, Swiftweasel, Shiretoko)
installed in Ubuntu 9.04 and they all have the same problem. The
problem is caused by the advanced setting on the Firefox addons page on
Linux Mint 7 there is no advanced setting on the Firefox addons page so
same Firefox 3.5.3 web browsers have no problem installing Firefox
addons. I Synaptic I have installed firefox-3.0 branding, firefox -3.5
branding, firefox-3.5-dev, firefox-3.5 dbg and firefox-3.5 gnome
support. I have the same in Linux Mint 7. I don't understand how the
advanced setting in firefox addons came on because I didn't put it
there. I find it odd that this same problem didn't show up in Linux Mint
7 which is based on Ubuntu 9.04 also Virtualbox doesn't work on Ubuntu
9.04 but it does work okay on Linux Mint 7. I have an install for Ubuntu
which I got from Linux Format Magazine perhaps if I reinstalled Ubuntu
9.04 that would get rid of this problem
