Get the Debian package and only fix gcu-plugin.dirs, gcu-plugin.links,
debian/control.

The usual way would be to check the changes wih every merge and limit
changes to the required level. Useful patches, e.g. translation fixes,
should be forwarded to upstream or to me - I have access to the upstream
VCS too.
