With the GNUTLS library
$ cadaver --version
cadaver 0.23.2

It is not possible to connect to webdav share that is protected by X509  authentication when the server ask a certificate. 
Example :
$ cadaver https://www.epoc.u-bordeaux.fr/Test

With a version of cadaver compiled with openssl it is correct :
I tried with an old debian version of cadaver cadaver-ssl_0.22.2-1.1_i386.deb
