Since there is a new version I'll be merging usbmount 0.0.18 into Ubuntu
Lucid. Now, if this is important fix to SRU to Ubuntu karmic, could you
please provide me with a way to reproduce a data loss?

  fixes a race condition in the version 0.0.17 that can, under some
  circumstances, lead to data loss.
