[Bug 224889] Re: Povray preview windows appear transparent

I'd like to note that this bug does not occur in the POV-Ray 3.7 Beta.
Unfortunately the beta's are not packaged for Ubuntu or Debian and come
with a timed kill-switch to discourage using a beta release past it's
"prime".  Since the group has been late in releasing the next beta all
current releases are "dead".  There is no schedule for the final release
that I've been able to determine.

The only way to run the beta is to download the sources, modify the
kill-switch, and build it yourself.

On the up side the beta supports multi-threaded renders which is really
cool.
