Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pidgin-facebookchat
1)
~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
2)
~$ apt-cache policy pidgin
pidgin:
Installed: 1:2.6.2-1ubuntu7
Candidate: 1:2.6.2-1ubuntu7
~$ apt-cache policy empathy
empathy:
Installed: 2.28.1.1-1+ppa9.10+1
Candidate: 2.28.1.1-1+ppa9.10+1
~$ apt-cache policy pidgin-facebookchat
pidgin-facebookchat:
Installed: 1.63
Candidate: 1.63
3) Expected: contacts to be in the same group.
4) Happened:
Bug occurs both in Empathy and Pidgin.
When I log in using pidgin-facebookchat, my facebook friends are grouped in "Other friends" (pidgin) and no group (empathy)
However, contacts that login after I'm connected are grouped in
"Facebook" (both pidgin and empathy)
The result is that my facebook friends are divided in two groups: the
ones that were online before I logged on, and the ones who weren't. It
would be much more convenient to have everyone in the same group, since
it's ruining the layout of my other protocol groups.
** Affects: pidgin-facebookchat (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
