Thanks for taking care of that! This way, we will be able to sync this
package for Lucid.

To get it fixed in Karmic, would you mind following the SRU process described at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates ?
Your debdiff seems good: for a SRU, you only have to change the version to ubuntu0.1, and change lucid by karmic-proposed.

If you prefer, I can do it for you.
