Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: virtualbox-ose
After I installed Karmic Koala on my PC, guests with bridged adapter
configuration cannot connect on the local network. I can boot them fine
but I cannot ping anything on the network from the guests. No dhcp or
arp replies come back to the Virtual Machine and I have to insert a
static IP, mask and gateway. When I do that I can only ping my vbox host
pc and nothing else.
All vbox* modules are loaded fine:
user at pc:~$ lsmod | grep -i vb
vboxnetflt 85288 1
vboxnetadp 78760 0
vboxdrv 121608 2 vboxnetflt
It used to work smoothly on Jaunty.
Packages:
virtualbox-ose
virtualbox-ose-qt
virtualbox-ose-source
Ubuntu Version:
user at pc:~$ lsb_release -rd
