Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub2

With my extern disk usb, i boot the system the selectio and init boot
sequency is very slow.

This problem existed in earlier versions of grub, maybe the new code
inherited some of that old problem, I remember that I also detected the
occasion and several had the same problem of slow to start ubuntu from a
usb disk
