Here is what I got:

john at john-laptop:~$ sudo dgcconfig --uninstall
[sudo] password for john:
Conexant DGC USB modem driver, version 1.11

If you need assistance or more information, please go to:
    http://www.linuxant.com/

When reporting a problem for the first time, please send
us the file generated by "dgcconfig --dumpdiag".

Uninstallation was successful.
john at john-laptop:~$ sudo dpkg -P dgcmodem
(Reading database ... 126512 files and directories currently installed.)
Removing dgcmodem ...
Purging configuration files for dgcmodem ...
Removing old /etc/dgcmodem
john at john-laptop:~$
