If you installed winff (or any part in the global system) manually, the
install system will not remove your changes. Remove the files you
created or changed manually and the system should be able to remove the
rest.

What I don't understand is, your original bug report was that you could
not INSTALL winff properly, right?

Do you now have winff installed? If so, please PURGE it. AFTER that, you
could check the list at [1] and make sure that they are completely
removed (else do it yourself). Mainly make sure that the following
files/directories are gone:
/usr/bin/winff
/usr/share/applications/winff.desktop
/usr/share/doc-base/winff
/usr/share/doc/winff
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/winff.xpm
/usr/share/man/man1/winff.1.gz
/usr/share/menu/winff
/usr/share/winff

If you still want winff, try to install it again after that.
