Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub2

The man page grub-install(8) is provided by /usr/share/man/man8/grub-
set-default.8.gz, i.e.:

$ man -aw grub-install
/usr/share/man/man8/grub-set-default.8.gz

The man header, footer and NAME section mention grub-install but the
rest of the man page documents grub-set-default, i.e.:

GRUB-INSTALL(8) System Administration Utilities GRUB-
INSTALL(8)

NAME
       grub-install - manual page for grub-install (GNU GRUB )

SYNOPSIS
       grub-set-default [OPTION] entry

DESCRIPTION
Set the default boot entry for GRUB.
...

Not sure if this will help but there appears to be at least a partial
man page for grub-install on the GNU GRUB Wiki:

http://grub.enbug.org/FranklinPiat/grub-install.manpage

** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
