[Bug 479914] [NEW] ipython cannot load configuration files and start with default -bare bones- configuration in Karmic

Starting ipython I get the following message:

This leads to a reduced performance of ipython.

Oddly, ipython did not have problems immediately after I upgraded to
Karmic, but the problem is clearly here now. I did not have this problem
under Jaunty.
