Complete Workaround for Karmic Users
================================
If you want to use Kupfer c10 from the repositories, follow these instructions if you are hit by this bug:
(Upgrading Kupfer to later versions however strongly recommended)
1. Download the fixed plugin from this URL:
http://git.gnome.org/cgit/kupfer/plain/kupfer/plugin/google.py?h=cee10
save as "google.py" in your home directory.
2a. To install for all users, copy the file into the kupfer installation
as superuser (using the terminal):
sudo cp ~/google.py /usr/share/kupfer/kupfer/plugin/google.py
2b. Alternatively, fix this only for your user by installing the fixed
plugin in parallel:
cp ~/google.py ~/.local/share/kupfer/plugins/google_fixed.py
3b. If you install as your user, you will see two "Search the Web"
plugins when you start. Enable the fixed version, which should have the
version number 2009-10-22. The old version has no version number, and
you must disable it.
4. Restart kupfer.
