I can confirm this as well ("Error: No such device... [UUID]" after
choosing the entry from the grub2 boot menu).
Extremely bothersome for a normal user, because he's left with an
unbootable system :-(
For a quick fix, I deleted the line "search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set
[UUID]" from grub.cfg. This can also be done in the boot menu, of
course.
System: One IDE drive, Windows XP was installed prior to 9.10
installation.
grub version is 1.97~beta4-1ubuntu4
