[Bug 450447] Re: hardinfo crashed with SIGSEGV in fgets()

Still crashing on Karmic Release after yet another full purge/cleanup
and reinstall. Getting this every time in syslog:

Nov  5 13:33:21 galvatron kernel: [13381.657176] hardinfo[5942]:
segfault at 0 ip b6e12c05 sp bff129f0 error 4 in
libc-2.10.1.so[b6db7000+13e000]

Any help available this issue would be appreciated. Segfault crashing in
a release version makes this as my most severe bug.
