Please can you say the version of pilot-link (package libpisock9) (and
jpilot) that you have installed?

It's likely that the jppy binary you are using was compiled against a
different pilot-link library (probably 0.12.3) than the one you
currently have (probably 0.12.4), see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=536877

This was badly handled in pilot-link (my own fault.)
