I am marking this invalid. This side effect is related to an intentional change in UI defaults by Gnome.
For this reason, I don't think this should be treated as a GnomeRDP bug.

I am currently working on a new version of GnomeRDP and I will certainly
consider this as feature request for the notification icon menu
behavior.
