video mode set to compatible looks ok

video mode set to best, looking like clipping of the polygons are mixed
up

3 pictures on this site are from 1.3.0 but the issue is still there in
1.3.1

this user is saying that the issue is with glut/freeglut3

freeglut3 v2.4.0 is from 2005 and it looks like 2.6.0 is still in beta
