In 8.04 i have to do rmmod saa7134_alsa && rmmod saa7134 && modprobe
saa7134 card=3 tuner=69 for tvtime to work, so i'm attaching Xorg.0.log
after running this commands.

Also (and i hope this help it) in 8.04 if a open rythmbox and try to run
tvtime, i get the very same error message i'm getting now. It's strange
because a don't imagine what rhytmbox has to do with video... But i'm
not running rhythmbox  right now no either any other media program AFAIK
