The solution shown in
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8220069#post8220069 didn't work
for me: same error again.

But then I added header files related to linux-*backports*-modules
version 2.6.31:

$ sudo apt-get install linux-headers-lbm-2.6.31-14-generic

Now it works. Should have done it yesterday ... ;-)
