[Bug 470018] [NEW] Cant shutdown. Get the error: init: statd main process ended

Problem:
I cannot shutdown my two PC's correctly as both get this error:

"init: statd main process ended, respawning"

Then nothing happens. If I hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE it repeats the error and
then hangs again.
