i too am having the same problems! most of the time the hardware eject
button will work, them sometimes it wont. the only way i seem to be able
to get discs out is via the eject symbol next the drive name in the
computer window! this is really annoying as backup discs are no use to
me stuck in the machine! i am running 9.10 32bit on acer travelmate
2303wlmi; its an old machine i know but nothing i do solves this strange
isssue!
