Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: emacs23

It seems that the menus are broken in the GTK version.
One bug was reported about (sub)menus being empty or not updated.

Here, I would like to draw your attention to wrong behavior of "Buffers" menu.
Just open several files and try to switch by using the menu. The first switch will work, however, the following ones are not doing what you want. They will switch to wrong buffer. It seems there is a "one-click delay" in the switching.

I assume this problem is not related to Ubuntu or Debian. The vanilla
version from gnu.org has the same problems. Which, by the way, seem to
be fixed in the current CVS version (and emacs-snapshot as well).

Thank you.

** Affects: emacs23 (Ubuntu)
