I also noticed a problem in wings3d, with accumulative texture
darkening.

I drew a cube, then put a sphere around it.
I set the sphere material to transparent blue.
If you move your mouse away from the sphere, the opacity seems to accumulate, to the point where cube becomes hidden, and you end up with a blue sphere.
