I do another installation on ubuntu 9.04  and find the mistake in the wims ubuntu package. 
A link is created /var/lib/wims/src/defaut.conf -> /etc/wims/defaut.conf
or it should be 
 /var/lib/wims/src/defaults.conf -> /etc/wims/defaults.conf

I hope it should be possible to make corrections in the package.
