[Bug 379932] [NEW] CuteCom - inconsistant installation

Public bug reported:

Using CuteCom 0.14.0 on Ubuntu and Xubuntu kernel 2.6.24-24-generic.
In Xubuntu when I install cutecom via 'sudo apt-get install cutecom' a menu item immediately appears under Applications-Accessories, but when I install the same package under Ubuntu there is no menu item at all (regardless of whether I reboot or not).
I have to manually create a menu item in Ubuntu.
Please comment.
