Is this still an issue for you?

Have you tried "m-a -f get virtualbox-ose", as suggested?

But, after all, virtualbox-ose in Intrepid uses DKMS and should automatically build the required module for you.
That does not mean that there is no bug here, but rather that you do not have to use module-assistant.
