[Bug 379763] [NEW] Only VESA mode after upgrade to jaunty

I've been told to open a new bug

In brief, I can use "intel driver mode" with Jaunty only if I install xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.4
Otherwise, I can only login in VESA mode.

The bug occurs even in the following situation:

xserver-xorg-video-interl 2:2.7.99.1 (sarvatt)
libdrm-intel1 2.4.11 (sarvatt)
linux-image-2.6.28-12-server 2.6.28-12.43
xserver-xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu18
