In my opinion the best way of fixing it would be to update package to
0.6-3 - the only changes in 0.6-3 were made to build process to fix this
issue and some minor changes to debian/copyright file. I'm attaching a
debdiff between 0.6-2 and 0.6-3,

I've built 0.6-3 locally and tested it.
