Ubuntu doesn't seem to support raw devices very well any more (fair
enough, as they were deprecated quite a while ago), so versions of
gddrescue that don't support direct disk access are now a bit useless,
as that functionality is supposed to replace the raw device support in
gddrescue.

Also note that GNU mirrors don't keep any versions before 1.6 around any
more; 1.2 really is obsolete now.
