[Bug 369743] Re: python-pyinotify fails to configure on install, leaving broken package

How can you tell that it failed to configure when installing?  I just
installed it on a vanilla jaunty and it seemed to install successfully,
but after that I can't import 'pyinotify' in a python (2.6 or 2.5)
shell.

After a quick look, this seems to be a consequence of a missing
__init__.py in /var/lib/python-support/python2.6/pyinotify/
