Public bug reported:
after mplayer or movie player crashed, unsure which as I was trying both and found that both were jerky unless run at full screen, and crashed hard locking the system, I reset the computer to have failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 2 on practically all my package update attempts seems dpkg is broken somehow and so far all my attempts to fix have been in vain like, using the synaptic package manager, compuer janitor, uninstalling and reinstalling packages,
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get upgrade
also didnt work :(
might've misfiled some of the many other packages failing to install while learning how this error reporting worked.
Thanks.
