Thanks Michael,
Installing dvb-apps/utils and then installing Me-TV 0.7.16 got it working. I didn't do anything else except install the dvb-apps/utils packages.
The device still reports as being a Zarlink MT352 DVB-T.
Yes I forgot to mention that closing Me-TV when the error was
reported left it in memory with the icon on the taskbar.
