Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: memcached
The simple workaround is to open up a shell and "sudo
/etc/init.d/memcached start" and it works magically until you reboot.
Not sure where to look for issues. While in /var/log, "sudo grep -i
memcache debug kern.log syslog daemon.log messages dmesg" turns up
nothing.
