[Bug 370869] [NEW] googleearth 5.0 does not start (Segmentation fault)

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: googleearth-package

GoogleEarth 5.0 does not start.
launching it from terminal it gives one error-message:
Segmentation fault.
direct rendering is working fine on system.
switching of kwin-effects and compositing did not help.
launching googleearth from fluxbox gives same result.

Running Kubuntu 9.04 Jaunty, 
Nvidia prop. drivers 180.5X

$ glxinfo |grep direct
direct rendering: Yes
    GL_EXT_depth_bounds_test, GL_EXT_direct_state_access,

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:    Ubuntu 9.04
