[Bug 352436] [NEW] Gnome session never finishes to load; Mouse works, keyboard seems not to, but obeys kernel

Public bug reported:

Upgrade from intrepid to jaunty, March 31, 2009.

GDM works, altough the username characters look garbled, missing their
upper part.

The first time, it went all though showing the menu bars, but with weird
greenish dots on the text. Mouse worked, everything else didn't.

Next boots, only mouse, nothing else on screen.

Machine: hpd330m , video intel 82865. No weird hardware, pretty plain
machine.
