[Bug 350032] [NEW] 855gm Interpid, screen distortion after upgrade to xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.3

Problem:
After upgrading from xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.2.4.1-1:ubuntu10 to 2.2.4.1-1:ubuntu10.3, after X startup half of the screen becomes distorted, starts flickering and flashing, with lots of artifacts etc. This effect is persistent and visible both on the login screen and in the window manager. Downgrading this single package has resolved the issue.

System:
completely fresh Ubuntu Desktop 8.10, i686, 
Linux version 2.6.27-7-generic (buildd at palmer) (gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu11) )
