Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xournal
I'm not 100% certain this is a bug with xournal, but it's the only app
I've been able to reproduce this problem in, and it reliably reproduces
on 3 different machines for me.
When using a touchpad with xournal, I get very unexpected behaviour. some examples include:
The drawing tool only draws straight lines from the point where you start it, to the upper left corner
-expected behaviour is that it allows free-form drawing as long as you hold the mouse down
The eraser tool only erases a small region directly under where you click the left mouse button
-expected behaviour is that it should continue erasing as long as you hold the mouse button down
The expected behaviour works correctly (even on these same machines)
when an external mouse is used. On my thinkpad, it even works with the
trackpoint. However whenever a touchpad (synaptics device) is used, it
always fails for me.
