Public bug reported:

Description:    Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release:        9.04

Version:        1.6.3-1

On "import paste.script.copydir" with python2.6:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
  File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.6/paste/script/copydir.py", line 398, in <module>
    class LaxTemplate(string.Template):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/string.py", line 119, in __init__
    cls.pattern = _re.compile(pattern, _re.IGNORECASE | _re.VERBOSE)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/re.py", line 190, in compile
    return _compile(pattern, flags)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/re.py", line 238, in _compile
    raise ValueError('Cannot process flags argument with a compiled pattern')
ValueError: Cannot process flags argument with a compiled pattern

Apparently this is fixed in recent upstream versions (1.7+).

** Affects: pastescript (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
