[Bug 346410] [NEW] launching in Unable to play audio file console message "Unable to open mixer /dev/mixer"

Ubuntu 8.10 - transcriber 1.5.1.1-2

I tryed to install transcriber from synaptic, after installing
libsnack2-dev, when I try to start the software with command line I have
a message saying "Unable to open mixer /dev/mixer", I already have
xfce4-mixer package installed.

The software still start but when I try to load a sound file through
Open audio file and play it I got the message "Could not gain access to
/dev/sound/dsp for writing."

what other package(s) do I miss ??? thanks
