[Bug 332549] Re: compiz freezes X when some applications are used

Bug is back after latest updates (gnome 2.26)
It looks like screen is not refreshed, while system continues to run.
Nothing wrong in Xorg logs, nor in dmesg or /var/log/messages.
Problem still exists with every version of 18*.* nvidia driver (even with 185.13 beta).
xorg.conf is the default one installed with nvidia drivers.
I'm attaching another screenshot taken after I started gnome audio settings with compiz enabled. The screenshot is different from what screen actually showed to me, i.e. a "still" image with some corruption in windows drawing, as if compiz couldn't correctly draw the new opened window. Just pointer movement was still working.
Some of this freezes eventually caused hard locks, or sort of, freezing even mouse pointer and forcing me to hard reset the pc because of keyboard unresponsiveness.
