Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ffmpeg
Hi,
i found, and others too (i read the bugs about missing xvid and faac),
that there a lot of codec functions missing in 8.10.
e.g. xvid , ogg, faac, mpeg-ts, mp3lame, ...
For me it is importent to get mpeg-ts working. It's needed for an
nautilus-script that is published on gnome-look.org (MOUvie Converter).
Ffmpeg is the only tool, that supports mpeg-ts output (mencoder
doesn't).
The ffmpeg -format output of hardy version is very different from intrepid version.
8.10 version is: 3:0.cvs20080206-12ubuntu-3.1
8.04 version is: 3:0.cvs20070307-5ubuntu-7.3+medibuntu1 (hardy) (latest synapic version)
Why are the compile flags not equal in both ubuntu versions? That makes
no sense to me.
Please be so kind and change the flags for ffmpeg.
bye...
