Bryce,

do we have to wait for an kernel update to get better performance?
In Ioquake3 I get in Intrepid 87 FPS and in Jaunty 11 FPS w/o DRI2. (Resolution 640x480).
compiz is also very slow, not really usable.

Maybe this bug is related to the problem?
